Law Awareness | Legal News The Strata Title The Strata Title (Amendment) Act 2000 is one piece of legislation which has been awaited for some time. The Amendment among others permits the corporation to determine the portion of contribution to the management fund. It allows for the parcel proprietor to pay a contribution for the maintenance of the building and to the common property areas.   Failure of the tenant to pay his contribution to the management corporation is now an offence. With this the corporation must ensure that its premises are always neat and clean to all the others users at all times.   The amendment also creates a Strata Title Board with its jurisdiction, representation and powers.
