RULES OF HIGH COURT AND RULES OF THE SUBORDINATE'S COURTS have been amended.

The amendment among others provide that the writ will be valid for six months. Must be served on the defendant within one month. If this not possible then it must be renewed before the end of the six months period. It can only be renewed twice.

In order to clear the heavy backlog of cases Order 34 of the RHC has been amended to give the judges extra powers . A Pre-Trial Case management has been introduced. This is to facilitate a quick trial and where there is delay the judge has a discretion to meets the ends of justice. The provision of striking of the case is always there.
